We advise on feasibility of project and planning restrictions; develop design proposals and apply for statutory approvals such as Planning Permission and Building Control Approval. We handle tenders for building work; administer the project on site and assist with handover of the project.

We work closely with Clients, occupational therapists and specialist suppliers to ensure the design meets our Clients particular needs.

Grainne is an accredited disability access auditor and has provided specialist accommodation reports for legal claims.

We provide access audits for existing buildings to identify requirements for disabled access to comply with Part R of the Building Control Regulations.

As Expert Witnesses, we prepare accommodation reports for people who have suffered injury or trauma and are seeking compensation through the Courts.Grainne O’Hagan, Director with JL O’Hagan & Co, is an associate member of the Academy of Experts and has received training from the Academy of Experts in compliance with the High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland Queens Bench Division (Commercial) Practice Direction 1.

The Practice has renovated and extended Grade B1 and B2 listed buildings. We can advise on restrictions on listed buildings, the planning process, grant-aid, and Conservation Area matters.

We can advise on extending / rennovating a listed building using a conservation-led approach.

Grainne is a Conservation Registrant with RIBA having completed two Conservation training courses with the RSUA. She is also a past member of the Historic Building Council.
